Szia! ? You mean the Siemens Combinos?
The first two trams come to Budapest in March. These two prototypes will be doing the 'test-runs' without passengers (6000 kms each).
Providing the tests go as planned, they will start to operate on lines 4 and 6 (obviously the two lines with the biggest traffic).
This December, there will be 20 pieces, and all 40 will be in service by May 2007.
Technical details (only a few):
length: 54 m 6 moduls, without steps, 8 doors each side
width: 2,4 m
level of floor: 32 cm
capacity: 64/350
speed: they can do 70 km/h but will only be allowed for 50...... ? although they coudn't do much more on the boulevard anyway
What else....
I think these are the most important characteristics. I won't go into 'electricity', I'm not good at things like that ?
Ákos Varga is not my relative ? and I only know his page, but not he himself.
The best catalogue..... yes, probably Bálint's. It has the biggest database, that's for sure.
