IRINA.
Reply on: IRINA #1:
No, but all ticket machines are equipped by information in english language. You can buy the 72h ticket and the 24h ticket for 100+101 zones.
Dear IMHD,

Can I get a GPS coordinate for Hodzovo námestie bus and trolleybus stop?

I am looking for to hearing from you soon!
Thank you!
Reply on: Zotya #3:
48.149029, 17.107107 - towards SAV & Central Station
48.147991, 17.106914 - towards Zochova & Petrzalka
48.148141, 17.108191 - towards Kollarovo namestie & Bus Station
48.148535, 17.108277 - towards the castle
Thank you very much!

Can I walk much to walk from bus to trolley bus stop towards the castle or are the stops in one place?
And one question: What do the reduced tickets mean?
Reply on: Zotya #5:
Buses stop at different place than trolleybuses at Hodzovo namestie. This will mean short walk across the square, or via underpass. Trolleybuses towards the castle stop in front of presidential palace, you can't really miss it.

Reduced tickets are valid for selected groups of passengers such as students, invalids and seniors. These discounts are in theory available to all EU citizens, but obtaining required documents is quite a hassle for foreigners, so unless you are staying for an extended period of time, it's not worth it. Exceptions are people over 62, who only need their ID to use reduced tickets.

The bus stop shelters (The Central Station & SAV) are visible next to the gate with golden application. The bus stop for another direction (Zochova & Petržalka) is located in the passage on the right of the EY building (the ceiling is visible on the panorama). Both trolleybus stops (Kollarovo námestie & Castle) are located in front of the TATRA BANKA building. The entrance to underpass is located on the trolleybus stop (Castle) and you can get either to another trolleybus stop (Kollarovo námestie) or to the bus stop in the EY building passage (Zochova & Petržalka). Though the bus stop for the central station direction is not directly connected to the underpass, it is connected with the opposite bus stop via pair of pedestrian crossings.

Hope it is clear now.
I have some questions:
These roules about zones are not clear for me.

So I ask shortly: If I woluld like to go from the airport to the main city (for example to main station) and then somewhere from main city (f.a. Old Town Hall) to Devin castle and then to the bus station - will be enough if I buy 24 hours tickets for 3,50 eur ? or should I buy ticket for 6,90 eur ?
Reply on: MarcinM #8:
You only need ticket for 3,50€. This ticket is valid for zones 100 and 101, which cover all of Bratislava (including airport).
Do you respect student cards of other countries as a confirmation of being a student? Or do I need to have f.e ISIC or EURO26?
Hi,

I will be arriving early on New Year's Eve (31.12.2017 Sunday) but when I search for 61 bus times from Letisko / Airport I get a "We are sorry, but no connection has been found." error.

Are there no number 61 buses running that day or is there a mistake on the journey planner?

Best regards,
Mark
Reply on: murphy #11:
61 will operate, the reason why you can't find it is probably that New Year's Eve timetables are not uploaded yet. Don't worry, all services will operate as on any other Sunday (and nighttime service will be increased).
Reply on: murphy #11:
What is the exact time of your arrival? Did you mean you would arrive early at the 31st of December or early at the 1st of January?

Anyway here is the timetable: https://imhd.sk/ba/cestovny-poriadok/linka/61/smer/Hlavna-stanica/zastavka/Letisko-Airport/209715393556

from the airport. See if something suits you. As 810zssk have already mentioned, the frequency of PT services is to be increased during the night between 31st and 1st.

Hi!
I'm going to travel to Bratislava this summer, and I need to know if I can use "24 hours ticket" to go to Devin (I want to visit the Castle) from "Most SNP" or I need a different ticket?
If I can arrive there with the day ticket, which one I must buy?

Validity Basic Reduced
24 hours / 100+101 3,50 € 1,75 €

24 hours / all zones 6,90 € 3,45 €

Thanks
Reply on: astur #14:
Devin is part of Bratislava, so day ticket for Bratislava (3,50€) will be sufficient.
Reply on: astur #14:
A handy rule:

All routes with one-digit and two-digit numbers (except a particular section of the line no. 37) fall into 100+101 zones (Bratislava). Furthermore all trolleybuses numbered from 201 to 212. Without single look to the map.

If you wish, you can also use other public transport vehicles + trains, but all of them runs beyond the boundaries of Bratislava and thus you have to check the list of stops and its regional assignment over.?
Hi, I have an emergency and hope you can help with this. Last thursday at 1:10pm I left (and lost) my wallet in one of your buses when going from bus station to city center. It is of crutial importance for me to get it back because my Ecuadorian ID and other legal documents were there.

If possible please check with drivers if they know about any lost wallet.

Bests, Adolfo
Reply on: Adolfo #17:
Hello, don't hesitate to contact +421 259 505 950 and give them the route number. They will be able to find the depot the vehicle went for parking that night and they may have the wallet waiting for you in their office.
Hello good people of imhd, I am travelling to Bratislava to celebrate New Year's Eve and I don't seem to be able to find out what the exact public transport restrictions are, all I can see is that on the 31st of December there will be a different service. Can anyone direct me to the detailed information on possible service changes for the 31st and the 1st?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from a Spaniard in Poland!
Reply on: jcalas #19:
Service will be mostly normal on both days. On 31st December it's a regular weekend service, with some extra night departures. Routes 24, 25 and 92 won't run but it's unlikely you would need those as they primarily serve Volkswagen factory.

Similarly 1st January will be on standard weekend schedules. Routes 1 and 4 will be diverted in the city centre during the afternoon (presumably to due some kind of event), which may affect you. Route 69 won't run, but again, that's not really relevant for tourists (it serves a shopping area at the outskirts of town).

Have a great trip and enjoy the city - but count on almost everything being closed on the 1st 🙂

Can I buy a 168 hours ticket at the ticket office at Hlavna stanica or only in the app?
Reply on: helfriedk #22:
I strongly recommend using the app, because electronic tickets don’t have the risk of being lost or damaged by water or heat. All tickets can be bought in ticket offices.
Reply on: helfriedk #22:
Only in the app.
Reply on: helfriedk #22:
That’s actually right, it’s the only ticket to be available solely in the app. The ticket office would only be able to sell you multiple 72-hour tickets instead.
Reply on: Ričard #25:
Thanks. In the app, I can buy the 168h ticket without extended registration for a Travelcard?
Reply on: helfriedk #26:
Yes, select "Single Journey Tickets" an then "Day tickets". 168h tickets are at the bottom. The time validity begins with the purchase of the ticket.
Dobré ráno,
Gratulujeme k vašej stránke. je mimoriadne kompletný, najmä pre nás nadšencov dopravy. Ohromne mi pomohol, keď som minulý rok prvýkrát prišiel do Bratislavy.
Hľadám teda jednu do zbierky.
Do skorého videnia.

Dear Operators,
I'd like to ask information about ticket purchasing. How I can buy the 24h family ticket online? I didn't find it in the app. When does the validity of 24h ticket start? Can we use only a mobile phone for the whole family? (Of course we will travel together)
Regards, Gabor
Reply on: GGazdag #29:
Hello, there is NO 24-hour family ticket available. REGULAR 24-hour tickets are valid for one person during workdays and for up to 5 people on weekends. It is the same ticket and you DON'T have to purchase any family options.
Reply on: Ričard #30:
I will add that the condition is that at least one person over 18 and at least one person under 18 are present AT THE SAME TIME in the same vehicle. The ticket is not valid for 5 children only or 5 adults only.

Possible combinations are:
1 adult + 1, 2, 3 or 4 children
2 adults + 1, 2 or 3 children
Reply on: GGazdag #29:
The validity of the ticket in the app starts immediately at the moment of purchase. The other option is to set a delay for a validity start up to 90 minutes from the time of purchase, manually.
Bus number 6859 route 42 towards C. Most.

Driver was rude and unfriendly. Asked a woman with a baby carriage and a small dog to exit the bus for no discernible reason. Dog was a small french buldog. And was i no way affecting other passengers. Infact if anything it was the driver that made passengers feel uncomfortable.

Driver was aggressive with horn as well, again, for no reason.

Rather unpleasant and unnecessary.
Reply on: Gbishop #33:
Was the dog in a box, or did it have a basket on its mouth? However he had to be polite.
Reply on: Gbishop #33:
I’m really not fond of writing this, but this is, unfortunately, how Slovaks are, especially the drivers of Bratislava’s public transit system. Aggression and impoliteness are quite common here. 😞
Hello, can I use 24hours e- ticket (all zones) for one adult and one 8yrs old children on not working days? Thank's for answer!
Reply on: RasSak #36:
Yes, you can, but only on weekends and public holidays, not school holidays. Upcoming public holidays are this Friday and next Monday.
Reply on: Gbishop #33:
There can only be one baby carriage in the vehicle. Second one only on the responsibility of the driver. Drivers are few and overworked.
Reply on: Ričard #37:
Thank's!
Omg it can't be... ENGLISH SPEAKERS LIKE ME!
Reply on: tiny111223 #40:

Reply on: Ričard #41:

Hehe. 😄
Reply on: Ričard #43:
I mean they dont show 99% of the news on the English version so i go to the slovak one and google automatically translates it
Reply on: tiny111223 #44:

I am from Lithuania, I am 63 years old. Will the reduced fare for the all-day ticket apply to me?
Reply on: Asta #47:

Starší vodič autobusu na linke 740 do Vrakune bol ku mne hrubý. Hanba za jeho vulgárnosť voči žene!!!!
Reply on: tiny111223 #40:
this is eu I don't see the reason not to speak english to whoever is downvoting us I will upvote you.
Reply on: Ričard #35:
here is the example when poor foreigner gets on a bus tired from working entire day they are not impolite towards them
Reply on: N/A #50:
The fact that English is one of the official languages of the EU doesn't mean you can force someone to speak English to you. Otherwise I can demand that you speak Italian to me, right?
Reply on: N/A #51:
The bus driver is not obliged to provide information. He doesn't have time for that. Neither in Slovak nor in English. People who don't know how to look up information in google maps won't understand his answer anyway. Drivers have tried it and that's why they usually don't communicate with foreigners.
It's not an attack on any particular person, they're just working a lot of overtime hours and they're tired.
Reply on: Andrej #52:
You need to try I am italian let's see what happens. I don't care what language you speak, if you insult a girl on the bus you should work as garbage driver.
